Healthwatch Consultation
In July 2010, the Government announced plans to set up an independent champion for health and social care consumers called HealthWatchEngland. Local Involvement Networks (LINks) will become local HealthWatchorganisations. The proposals were published as part of the White Paper ‘Equality and excellence: Liberating the NHS’, the consultation for which will finish on the 5th October 2010. This document aims to help you, and the people you represent, understand more about the HealthWatchproposals and the issues that you might want to think about whenresponding to the consultation. Your response to the White Paper will help us to shape how HealthWatchoperates.
