Get Involved
You can be involved with Birmingham LINK in a different number of ways and the time you will need to commit to the LINk is flexible and depends entirely on you and the difference you’d like to make.
Often, people join to take part in one of our working groups, which focus on specific areas of health and social care. Working groups meet on a regular basis, discuss current issues, gather evidence, develop action plans to make a positive impact in health and social care and take part in events across the city.
Some people belong to our core group, which manages the overall LINk program. To be part of the core group you need to be elected or co-opted to represent a group of people or community. We also look for people willing to volunteer to support us in some of our events or specific projects.
This site is intended to keep members and visitors up to date with all LINk’s activity. If you aren’t able to join a group, you can share your views, find the information you need to make a difference in your chosen area and contact other members. You can also become our fan on Facebook or follower on Twitter, contact us through freephone or write to us. You can also sign up here to receive regular newsletters.
We believe that by engaging with communities and getting them to have a say about the issues that affect them the most that we will be able make a difference in the way health and social care services are delivered in Birmingham.
